Role Overview As the Senior Vice President - Technology, you will lead Exotel s technology vision, strategy, and execution. You will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring scalable and robust technology solutions, and enabling seamless customer experiences. This role will report into our CTO here at Exotel. People Nurturing Influence and Storytelling Vision* Inspiration as a tool for change management Key Skills Experiences We Seek Technology Leadership Expertise: 18+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a strong track record in cloud communications, SaaS, or AI-driven platforms.Must be highly skilled in technology with hands-on experience and a strong technical background, capable of driving technical decisions and guiding teams effectively. Proven experience in architecting and scaling high-performance, distributed systems. Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures (Cloud at scale), microservices, and API-driven platforms. Experience integrating Generative AI and emerging technologies into technology stacks. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and data privacy frameworks. Engineering Excellence: Experience leading large-scale engineering teams, ensuring best practices in software development, DevOps, and site reliability. Expertise in modern software development methodologies, CI/CD, and agile frameworks. Deep understanding of software quality, security, and performance optimization at scale. Ability to assess and implement emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Leadership and Influence: Proven track record of building, scaling, and mentoring high-performing engineering teams. Demonstrated experience in leading large teams with both senior-level managers and individual contributors, including Architects and Principal Engineers. Experience managing cross-functional teams to execute a cohesive technology strategy. Ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders on key technology decisions Highly committed, motivated, and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results, with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt and stretch to meet critical deadlines. Business Impact: Strong understanding of how technology drives business growth and operational efficiency. Experience managing technology budgets, optimizing costs, and delivering ROI on tech investments. Must have a history of successfully delivering projects, overcoming challenges, and ensuring outcomes align with business objectives. Deep expertise in data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics to drive product and infrastructure improvements. Sprint Efficiency and Delivery Improvement: Evaluate the current sprint process to identify gaps, ensuring tasks are well-defined, priorities are clear, and timelines are realistic. Implement refined processes to enhance delivery speed, maintain quality, and improve team collaboration. Establish a structured framework for addressing concerns across Engineering teams. This includes regular feedback loops, clear escalation paths, and designated channels for surfacing blockers to ensure timely resolutions. Technical Depth: Strong background in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI-driven platforms. Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing, analytics, and AI/ML frameworks. Good understanding of Contact Center, CPaaS, or CRM products is a plus.
