. Key Responsibilities Customer Focus Timely execution of various BDC / NPI / NPD / Custom projects of core components. Help in estimating assigned work and deliver high quality output in specified time frame Understand and document customer specific processes and expectations towards quality and delivery sticking to laid out protocol. Ensure efficient communication with Customers and within team during all phases of projects. Look for opportunities to enhance GECIA s contribution towards technological advancement in Product and Components in Core Block Design Development People Focus Actively participate in competence development roadmap activities laid out by the team. Actively share learnings with the team through Knowledge Sharing Sessions. Effectively coach the team members in the domain of your SME areas. Create the Team spirit towards Driving Customer Success Improving Business Results Believe in CAN DO; WILL DO attitude, and drive motivation from it. Continuously question the as is scenario on product and processes and present ideas for innovation. Participate and contribute in research oriented projects Technology Focus Understand the market scenario and current status quo for the products and components. - Interact with various stakeholders on regular basis to identify the scope for enhancement. Enhance in depth understanding of the products and components of Piston core block - design codes and standards. Understand and develop on Pi structure for development as per discussion with PL. Believe in Question Everything and actively contribute with innovative ideas. Promote Cross-Pollination of the technologies represent team at various forums. Product Focus Participate in developing product and component landscape for the specific core domain Ensure continuous involvement for Knowledge management Portals, Databases, etc - to document - knowledge about Product, Process, People Tool. Work on creating reusable calculation templates, methodologies to design core components Develop Project tracking sheet after every new domain project to document the learnings. Create an understanding in the team about available compliance requirements and ensuring our design templates are compatible to different compliance standards. Carry out CAD checking and participate in Design Reviews with the team members. Operational Excellence Ensure adherence to SOP for all the execution. Understand customer and area specific processes and ensure adherence to it. For a completely new segment, actively contribute and participate in POCs along with PL. Work for high quality standards to ensure achievement of KPIs. Work on automation projects to automate repeated processes to improve quality. Maintain Desired Efficiency. Strong fundamental knowledge Sound Knowledge about performance of compressors/ any system (eg: reciprocating compressors, engines, screw compressors, Vacuum pumps etc) Knowledge about Mathematical Modelling fundamentals Exposure towards developing component level Mathematical Modelling is must Exposure to system level mathematical modelling is added advantage Knowledge of 1D - Mathematical Modelling Good Knowledge of Model based systems engineering. Good understanding of coding software such as Matlab, Excel VBA or Python Exposure towards developing calculation model catering to system level performance is added advantage Good knowledge of programming methodologies is added advantage Good visualization skills - replicating the physical phenomena is must. Strong knowledge base in Thermal/ Design or both subjects (Subjects such as thermodynamics, Strength of material, Heat transfer, Fluid, Mechanics, Maths etc) Good learning agility.
