Job Details: Title: Senior Technical Lead Educa onal Qualifica ons: B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering Experience: 12 to 14 years of work experience in design and development of controls algorithm for automotive application. Location: Bengaluru IPEC India Job Description Summary: In this role, under the direct supervisor of engineering supervisor, Senior Technical Lead would be leading the technical delivery of the work product. Interacts with Feature Owner and other competencies to derive solution requirement and works with controls development team across globe to deliver controls solution in BW software. Responsible for all technical discussions and decision making. Responsible to present technical findings and periodic updates to management. Key Responsibility: Evaluation of controls development needs for new projects Co-ordination with key global stakeholders to drive prioritization of development activities Work with Systems Engineering and Application Engineering to investigate propulsion systems controls issues Develop optimized driveline dynamics or mechanical system controls algorithms and techniques utilizing balanced requirements to meet schedule, time and cost constraints Perform modelling, simulation and optimization of controls Ensure adherence to BW process of Controls development Configuration Management Identify and Champion adoption of relevant Methods, Tools, Technology and continuous improvement initiatives. Interact with other Systems engineering and software teams on verification validation activities of the developed algorithms. Planning, prioritizing and decomposition of tasks for the team. Drive validation efforts in different test environments Mentor/Train/Develop new hires Apply algorithms to customer projects and summarize results. Present results internally and to customers. Work Experience/Skills: Bachelors/Master s Degree in Mechanical/ Controls/Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Minimum 11 Years of experience with 8+ years of experience in Controls Algorithms development for Powertrain domain 5+ years of experience Controls Software Development with hybrid / electric propulsion systems. In depth understanding of features functionality of eDrive xEV propulsion systems Strong knowledge of Driveline Dynamics, Clutch Controls, Thermal management areas Expert level experience in Simulink, State flow and state-space models. Experience with embedded C Understanding of system and unit level testing. Understanding of ASPICE and Functional Safety. Excellent stakeholder management and communication. Planning and work decomposition. Attributes Self-motivated with a strong and flexible attitude towards work Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner. Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly on technical and operational issues. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required.
