Position : Senior Technical Analyst (Linux Administration L3)-Only Immediate Joiner Location : Bangalore Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large enterprise environments in linux environment Mode of Work : Hybrid Job Description Technical Expertise: Perform a range of complex technical work activities in Linux environment to meet business and customer requirements. Incident and change management. 3rd level incident and task support. Lead advanced troubleshooting and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) efforts to resolve issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality service delivery. Creating CSI,SIP,runbook,confluence. Manage and optimize configurations within Linux environment with VM,physical servers hostedin DC,linux servers in AWS environment including user administration,disk management,repo management,package managemet,patch managent,puppet,git,networking etc. Needs to manage almost all flavours of linux like oracle linux,ubuntu,redhat,suse,redhat. Configure and maintaining linux servers like webservers(Apche,nginx),databases(opracle),email servers (postfix)etc. Server Inventory management. BAU support,server build,decommission. BMC ticket management,Icinga monitoring,patch management and server build via tools. Installtion,reinstallation,maintain of linux servers in the environment. Develop, implement, and manage complex scripts using bash,python scripting for automation, reporting, and process efficiency. Escalate and communicate issues in line with company processes to meet business and customer needs and provide high-quality support to internal and external stakeholders. Proactively keep skills updated with industry standards and emerging technologies to drive innovation in endpoint management. Provide technical mentorship, drive team improvement initiatives, and take on special projects as assigned to ensure operational excellence. Advanced proficiency in managing Linux distributions(Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, Suse, redhat). Expertise in kernel tuning, upgrades and debugging. Deep knowledge of filesystems(ext4,xfs,zfs) and disk management(LVM and RAID) Package management(yum,dnf,apt,zypper). Advanced networking concepts -routing, iptables, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, NIC management, Bonding. Schedule and automate jobs using cron. Security-SElinux,firewalls,PAM,sudo.ACLs,audit,secure ssh configuration,vulnerability management. Troubleshooting-expertise in diagonising,resolving OS,application and network issues. Troubleshooting- Familiarity with logs management,dracut prompt,performance tuning. Automation and scripting-bash,python Configuration Management-git,puppet. Automating system deployments with kickstart,PXE boot. Knowledge of cloud platforms(AWS) Good to have knowledge in orchestration tools like Kubernetes-kubernetes cluster management,Prometheus,kubectl commands,CLI,YAML. Linux clustering VM restoration,snapshot management. Planning,executing system upgrades and migrations. Optimising and scaling linux based environments. Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex technical challenges. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
