Senior System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate environments across Windows and macOS, leveraging SCCM and Intune for optimal system performance and updates.
• Provide comprehensive support for software and hardware troubleshooting, including laptops, desktops, and macOS devices. Coordinate with vendors for implementations and ongoing issue resolution.
• Implement and maintain security protocols such as TLS encryption, firewall configuration, DHCP, BitLocker encryption, and endpoint vulnerability management using Defender for Endpoint.
• Deploy and manage software applications on endpoints via SCCM, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange, including mailbox management, rules, DLPs, and Office 365 suite configurations, policies, message encryption, and eDiscovery processes. Monitor service health using the Office 365 console and respond proactively to system alerts.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting for resource exhaustion detection, application pool management, and disk space optimization.
• Perform patch management tasks, including compliance checks and vulnerability remediation, to maintain system integrity and security.
• Provide technical support for communication and collaboration tools, including email troubleshooting and meeting room booking systems.
• Manage printer and docking station firmware updates, Active Directory administration, and imaging and deployment processes for OS migrations.
• Develop and manage the client platform using technologies such as Microsoft Intune, Defender, Azure Conditional Access, and Zero Trust concepts.
• Implement Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions to enhance security and connectivity.
• Manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, ensuring efficient resource allocation, performance optimisation, and secure access for remote users. Coordinate with IT teams to implement VDI solutions that enhance user productivity and support business continuity.

Your Profile

• We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Should have excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude, ready to drive projects to completion with a focus on security and stability.
• 5 to 12 years of experience in endpoint management and security, with a strong background in managing diverse environments, including Windows, MACs, and Linux machines.
• Expertise in security protocols, software deployment, application management, and automation processes is essential.
• Experience in OS deployments and migrations, along with effective communication skills, is crucial for resolving user issues efficiently.
