ARKO, the sixth largest convenience store operator in the United States, operates more than 3,800 sites across its retail, wholesale, and fleet segments. **Role Overview:** As a Senior Staff Accountant at ARKO, you will be responsible for performing high-level accounting tasks, detailed analysis, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform senior level accounting tasks - Ensure proper accounting and accurate reflection of business transactions in the financial statements - Analyze financial data, identify variances, resolve accounting operating system issues, compile statistical information, and develop procedures to enhance current processes - Research various financial topics to provide information or recommendations impacting the organization's operations - Handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting based on GAAP - Adhere to internal controls over accounting procedures as established by upper management - Collaborate frequently with various levels within the organization **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance - 5+ years of General Ledger Accounting and reconciliation experience in a corporate environment - Thorough understanding of GAAP - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook) - Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines, and complete projects - Experience in detailed accounting schedules and reading P&L statements - Strong computer, presentation, and organizational skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills - Experience in lease accounting preferred but not required Apply now for the Senior Staff Accountant position at ARKO and be part of a dynamic team driving technology innovation and financial excellence.,
