Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients before procedures to assess their medical history, current health status, and anesthesia requirements.
Anesthesia Planning: Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient needs, the type of procedure, and other factors, considering the choice of anesthesia (general, regional, local, or sedation).
Anesthesia Administration: Administer anesthesia to induce and maintain a controlled state of unconsciousness or sedation, ensuring patients are pain-free and immobilized during surgery.
Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia depth, and other parameters throughout the procedure to ensure patient safety.
Pain Management: Provide pain relief and pain management solutions during and after surgery, tailoring pain control methods to each patient.
Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, such as an adverse reaction to anesthesia or unexpected complications during surgery.
Perioperative Care: Oversee patients during the entire perioperative period, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative care.
Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Patient Education: Educate patients about the anesthesia process, potential risks, and expected outcomes, addressing any questions or concerns.
