Senior Software Test Engineer

BGI has a job opening for candidates' expertise in Sr. Software Test Engineer.

Job Details:

• 5+ years of Experience in black box manual testing (Web and

Mobile Application)

• Have knowledge with White Box and Gray Box testing

• Good in online portals and MySQL query writing

• Experience in Web application is mandate.

• Exposure to Mobile application with IOS and Android is an added advantage

Job Role:

• Understanding the requirements of the software and mapping Test Cases to each of

the requirements

• Become familiar with the software under Test.

• Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test

cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.

• Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system,

performance, regression and service

• Providing feedback on usability and serviceability

• Review the Tracker Ids posted by the team

• Log all the defects observed in Bug Tracker and update before the End of Day

• Report work progress and any problems faced to the Test Lead or Manager -

Software Development as required

• Provide inputs to the team in order to improve the test process

• Log – in time taken to complete a task

• Support the testing team on tasks assigned as and when required

• Review Test Cases prepared by the Team

• Create Test data required for testing

• Prepare & reuse the automation test scripts

• Review the test scripts

• Analyze and identify the modules that has to get automated

• Create or assist in creating test automation

Skills required:

• Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development models can be a

great help for you in carrier as a software tester.

• Knowledge Test Management and Defect Tracking tool is an important aspect of

Software testing and including QC, Bugzilla, Jira, etc

• Automation tool like Selenium

• Added advantage of penetration testing

• Allocating tasks to the teams in the absence of the Team Lead. Track and ensure

tasks are taken to closure as per schedule

Competencies required/ Communication Skills:

• BSC Computer Science / CSE / IT Candidate / Anyone with Manual Software

Testing Experience (Web Application)

• Good in communication and analytical skill
