The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Ruby on Rails, along with a proven ability to design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications. Excellent communication skills are a must, as the role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. What you ll do: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance Ruby on Rails applications. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices (TDD/BDD, SOLID principles). Architect solutions that align with business goals while ensuring maintainability and scalability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality products. Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance. Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence. Implement and manage integrations with third-party services and APIs. Ensure best security practices are followed in application development. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve the development process. Your qualifications Technical 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development. Strong experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL , database design, and optimization. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular) is a plus. Experience working with APIs (RESTful and GraphQL), third-party integrations, and background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque, etc.). Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps tools. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and automated testing frameworks (RSpec, Capybara). Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and adapt to fast-paced development cycles. Excellent problem-solving skills , analytical mindset, and attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployment is a plus.
