You will be joining a dynamic team of experienced software engineers at Simpplr in India, playing a key role in shaping the future of work. As a software engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers. Your primary responsibility will involve leading development projects from inception to execution, contributing to feature planning, service building, and infrastructure deployment. Your role will encompass: - Collaborating within a talented cross-functional team to develop user-facing features using TypeScript/JavaScript on both frontend and backend. - Ensuring comprehensive test coverage through automated unit tests and end-to-end tests, while upholding quality standards in all features. - Contributing to the enhancement of team practices and processes, while staying updated on new technologies and tools. - Engaging in agile ceremonies and delivering value consistently in two-week sprints. - Deploying infrastructure using Kubernetes in collaboration with the existing AWS platform team. - Influencing the application's architecture and future direction. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Strong user focus and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. - Proficiency in relational databases and NoSQL solutions, with expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Enthusiasm for exploring new technologies to enhance productivity, code quality, and user experience. - Proficiency in profiling and optimizing code, along with expertise in CI/CD, unit testing, and end-to-end testing. - Sound knowledge of functional programming patterns, with at least 3 years of experience in backend development focusing on NodeJS. - Experience in developing microservices-based architectures and working effectively in a global team environment. - Excellent communication skills for both technical discussions and executive-level interactions. - Demonstrated ability to lead by example and promote diversity, inclusion, and respect in the work environment.
