Senior Software Engineer

**Job Description:** You would be part of the Data Platform and Analytics team at Guidewire, responsible for designing, developing, and running cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS services. Your role will involve hands-on coding for more than 90% of your time, designing and building large-scale real-time stream processing systems, developing microservices and analytics SaaS solutions, owning Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) for your services, ensuring scalability, availability, and data security, as well as triaging and resolving code defects and maintaining secure code. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop and run cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS services - Hands-on coding for more than 90% of your time - Design and build large-scale real-time stream processing systems - Develop microservices and analytics SaaS solutions - Own Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) for your services - Ensure scalability, availability, and data security for your services - Triage & resolve code defects - Maintain secure code and resolve app security findings **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience - Experience building cloud-native data platform - Excellent programming skills in Java/Python, with strong, hands-on experience in the Spring Boot framework - Strong experience with AWS (or another major public cloud) and designing cloud-native solutions - Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles (e.g., consistency, availability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms) - Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable multi-tenancy architectures for SaaS products - Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud data warehouses like Redshift - Familiarity with modern big data ecosystems (Data Mesh, Lakehouse) and technologies (Spark, Trino) - Working knowledge of Data Governance principles and experience implementing solutions for data quality, security, and compliance - Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models into production systems and workflows - Working knowledge with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform *Note: Additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description.*,
