Job Title: Senior Selenium Automation Test Engineer Job Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full Time Experience: 7+ years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Selenium Automation Test Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, framework development, and continuous integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts and have expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, API testing, and DevOps tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Key Responsibilities: 1. Automation Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and related tools. Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks. 2. Test Script Implementation: Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Java/Python/C# and Selenium. 3. Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to define test requirements and objectives. Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. 4. Integration and Execution: Implement and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS DevOps, or similar tools. Execute automated test suites and analyse results to identify issues. 5. API Testing: Automate API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, SoapUI, or Karate. 6. Cross-Browser and Mobile Testing: Ensure application compatibility across browsers and devices using tools like TestNG, Appium, or Browser Stack. 7. Defect Management: Identify, log, and track bugs using JIRA, Bugzilla, or other tracking tools. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues. 8. Performance and Security Testing: Conduct performance, load, and security testing. Work with performance and security testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, OWASP ZAP (preferred). 9. Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure software quality and create test reports. 10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging trends in automation testing and propose new tools or strategies. 11. Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Guide junior engineers, review their code, and share best practices in test automation. Required Skills & Experience: • 7+ years of experience in test automation with Selenium WebDriver. • Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or C# for automation scripting. • Strong knowledge of automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, Hybrid, Data-Driven). • Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle. • Hands-on experience with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, BDD, or TDD methodologies. • Expertise in API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or SoapUI. • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket). • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools. • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies. • Experience with cloud-based testing solutions like Selenium Grid, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs. • Good understanding of RESTful API testing • Knowledge of performance and security testing. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: • ISTQB Certification (or equivalent) is a plus. • Experience with AI-based test automation tools like Testim or Mabl (nice to have). • Working knowledge of database testing using SQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL. • Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks like Appium. • Familiarity with Cypress automation tool.
