Senior SDET I

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. As a Senior SDET, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing test strategies, developing automation frameworks, and collaborating with the development team to create robust, scalable, and maintainable software.

Years of Experience

5-7 years of experience as an SDET or QA Engineer, with a focus on .NET applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (Computer Science/ Engineering ).

• Proficiency in Selenium, SQL, C# and the .NET framework.

• Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks.

• Knowledge of testing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements.

• Define test strategies and create comprehensive test plans.

• Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk and critical functionality.

• Plan and execute performance and load testing as needed.

• Write clear, maintainable, and efficient code for test scripts.

• Continuously improve test automation coverage and effectiveness.

• Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects and ensure application functionality meets requirements.

• Identify and report software defects with clear, detailed descriptions.

• Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline for automated regression testing.

• Review and provide feedback on the code quality and testability of application code.

• Promote best practices for software testing and quality assurance within the team.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to identify and report software defects effectively.

• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks specific to .NET, like Selenium WebDriver, Appium (for mobile applications), or specialized .NET testing libraries, is crucial.

• Proficiency in C#, SQL, Selenium is essential since .NET applications are primarily developed in C#.

• Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies for effective collaboration with development teams in an iterative and incremental development process.

• Understanding and experience with CI/CD tools such as Octopus, Teamcity , Jenkins, or Azure DevOps is necessary for integrating test automation into the development pipeline.

• Knowledge of API testing tools and concepts, such as Postman or Swagger, is beneficial for testing web services and APIs in .NET applications.

• Familiarity with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs, is valuable for testing web-based .NET applications.
