OnsiteThe Senior Savoury Flavorist ,plays a pivotal role in our Savoury Flavor Creation team, responsible for developing cutting-edge flavour solutions for a diverse range of applications. The primary mission is to create unique, high-quality savoury flavour profiles that not only meet but exceed client expectations. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in the field, with a focus on providing technical support to clients and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.At dsm-firmenich, being a force for good is not optional. Your Key Responsibilities
- Flavour Creation Excellence:
- Develop and grow the Seasoning/Savory segment for India, ME, Africa, and Southeast Asia.
- Create innovative savoury flavour solutions in line with client requirements, industry regulations, and consumer preferences.
- Establish benchmarks and golden standards based on local and global market needs.
- Work collaboratively with the senior flavorist team/seasoning creators to deliver exceptional taste solutions that go beyond conventional expectations.
- Client Engagement:
- Interpret and understand clients' needs, translating them into flavour compositions that align with quality, price, and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide technical support to external customers, collaborating with Seasoning Creators/Sales/Business Unit teams to nurture productive customer relationships.
- Formulation and Industrialization:
- Develop formulations adhering to internal guidelines and brief requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the Application/Industrialization team to ensure the industrial feasibility of new developments.
- Leverage dsm- firmenich library to identify the right flavour profiles for the seasoning application
- catalyse localization of Flavors in demand to ensure faster turnaround for the local market.
- Raw Material Evaluation:
- Evaluate new raw materials, considering their compatibility with local flavour palettes & regulations of client countries.
- Stay updated on emerging raw materials and technologies, assessing their potential for creating successful solutions.
- Team Development :
- Coach , Mentor & develop a team of Flavorist & seasoning Creators in region
You Bring
- Over 15 years of professional experience in Savoury Flavor creation.
- Educational background in Food Science/Chemical with an advanced degree.
- Completion of creation training from a reputed university or flavor house.
- In-depth knowledge of raw materials/ingredients and their interactions.
- Proactive, autonomous, and capable of handling multiple projects within deadlines.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills. Willingness to travel.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
