Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1.Sales & Business Development

  • Lead sales of Upstream & Downstream Bioprocess equipment including bioreactors, fermentors, chromatography, filtration, SUS, and hybrid systems.
  • Achieve sales targets for the Hyderabad and South India biotech region.
  • Identify new business opportunities across Biopharma, Biosimilars, Vaccines, CGT, CDMOs, and Research Institutes.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: lead generation, technical discussions, proposals, and deal closure.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.

2.Technical Expertise

  • Provide strong technical support on stainless-steel and single-use bioreactors, fermentors, chromatography skids, TFF/UF/DF systems, and downstream purification platforms.
  • Understand upstream and downstream processes (microbial & mammalian) and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering/application teams for technical evaluations and customized offerings.

3.Customer & Market Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, technical workshops, demos, and presentations.
  • Track competitor activities, market trends, and technology updates.

4.Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, project updates, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with service, marketing, and project teams for end-to-end customer satisfaction.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Biotechnology or Bioprocess equipment sales.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:

Bioreactors & Fermentors (SS & SUS)

Chromatography Systems

– Upstream and Downstream Process Equipment

– Single-Use & Hybrid Systems

  • Proven sales success in the Biotech/Biopharma sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Frequent travel is a must.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
