**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Engineer to lead our technical sales initiatives. You will be the primary technical expert responsible for driving the sales cycle of complex CNC solutions from initial technical qualification to closure. This role demands a strategic blend of deep technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and customer relationship management to achieve sales targets and contribute to market growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Technical Sales Leadership:** Own the technical dimension of the sales cycle for key accounts and high-value prospects. Act as the trusted technical advisor to customers.
* **Solution Architecture & Consulting:** Analyze customer manufacturing processes, pain points, and business objectives. Design and propose compelling, high-value technical solutions leveraging our CNC portfolio and allied technologies.
* **Market & Competitive Intelligence:** Maintain expert-level knowledge of our products, competitor offerings, and industry trends (Industry 4.0, IoT in manufacturing, automation). Use this insight to position our solutions effectively.
* **Mentorship & Collaboration:** Guide and mentor Associate Sales Engineers/Trainees. Collaborate seamlessly with the sales, service, and product management teams to ensure customer success and smooth project handover.
* **Customer Relationship Management:** Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders (Engineers, Production Heads, Plant Managers, Business Owners) across the customer organization.
* **Sales Strategy Contribution:** Provide technical input for regional sales strategies, target account planning, and product roadmap discussions.
**Desired Candidate Profile:**
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced technical certification is a plus.
**Experience:**
* Minimum 5+ years in a technical sales, pre-sales, or applications engineering role.
* **Mandatory:** Proven experience in selling CNC machines, industrial capital equipment, or complex engineering solutions (e.g., CAD/CAM, PLCs, Automation Systems).
* Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
* Experience in consultative selling and managing the full sales cycle for high-value deals.
* **Technical & Commercial Skills:**
* In-depth understanding of CNC machining processes (Milling, Turning), G&M codes, machine tool components, and tooling.
* Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, productivity metrics (OEE), and cost-benefit analysis.
* Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, cost calculations, and commercial offers.
* Excellent skills in MS Office, CRM software and presentation tools.
* **Soft Skills:**
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as leading teams.
* Customer-centric mindset with a focus on building value-based partnerships.
