Senior QA Tester - Mobile App (iOS & Android)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior QA professional with a proven track record in mobile app testing. As a Senior QA you should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where quality is paramount.In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our mobile apps and chipsets by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, automating testing processes and leading the QA processes.You will work closely with developers, product managers and other stakeholders to detect and resolve issues early in the development cycle. Responsibilities; Test Strategy and Test Planning for Development and execution of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms. Own end to end testing and Test Execution for Executing Manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance and stability of mobile applications. Test Automation for Leading the effort to automate repetitive test cases, create and maintain automated test scripts using mobile application testing tools such as Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, Browserstack, perfecto etc. Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and coverage. Collaboration with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure that product requirements are met and quality standards are maintained. Lead & mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality testing. Testing Process for Overseeing the entire testing process, including functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing. Defect Management & Reporting so you can Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed descriptions and steps to reproduce issues. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot, reproduce and resolve defects. Provide clear and concise reports to management on testing progress, coverage and defect status. Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile testing trends, technologies, and industry best practices. Qualifications; Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on mobile App testing. In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android platforms, including their specific testing requirements and challenges. Experience with mobile testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Appium, XCTest, Espresso, Browserstack, perfecto). Automation regression testing experience with Selenium and TestComplete. Good exposure into integrating QA into CI/CD pipelines for automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, CircleCI, TeamCity Experience with performance testing and load testing tools, security testing, api testing with relevant tools like JMeter, , Postman, Swagger Work experience with Agile testing tools like Jira, Bugzilla Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven leadership and mentoring abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Technical Skills; Experience with performance testing and load testing tools, security testing Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. Best practice and comprehension of most suitable software testing methodologies particularly mobile App testing.
