Senior QA Engineer

.In this role, you will lead quality assurance efforts to ensure high-quality delivery of software products and services. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, perform both manual and automated testing, and collaborate closely with development teams to validate backend systems, APIs, and data dashboards. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in modern QA tools, and experience with Agile software development. You will also mentor junior QA members, help implement process improvements, and contribute to maintaining high standards for software reliability and performance. The role is remote or hybrid, with coordination across time zones, ensuring collaboration with both local and international teams.
- Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for software products.
- Conduct API testing (RESTful/SOAP) and validate functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
- Perform manual and automated tests, analyze results, and document defects using tools like Jira.
- Execute regression testing to maintain existing functionality across updates and releases.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to improve product quality.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on testing techniques, including API and automation testing.
- Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
- Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in SDLC/STLC and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing, functional, performance, security, and integration testing.
- Strong experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of RESTful and/or SOAP web services and API architectures.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools, including Jira.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright) and programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Strong SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Leadership skills and mentoring experience are highly desirable.
