POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a skilled software engineer to develop and maintain critical analytics applications. You will architect containerized microservices using Python, collaborate on application improvements, and ensure system performance. Experience with Python, Docker, microservices, AWS, Linux, and RESTful services is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Architect software solutions for complex high volume data environments Develop containerized microservices using Python Collaborate with software development team to fix and improve existing applications Monitor and assess current system performance Identify scalability issues and opportunities Support software testers and application engineers during deployments and maintenance Provide support for testing/ development/staging environments Communicate with RESTful services EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS Proficient in Python language and ecosystem [async, packaging/ distribution/PyPI, debugging, logging, pytest] Understanding of Linux and commands, Issue debugging in linux process for resource constraints Shell(bash) scripting, logging systems Experience working with Docker and Microservices Experience in client/server architecture and messaging systems like MQ, Kafka Proficiency in network applications (TCP/UDP sockets) across heterogeneous networks RESTful services Experience with Cloud platforms preferably AWS Experience working with JSON APIs Django, Flask web application frameworks, REST APIs Experience working in software development team Familiar with typical software develop tools and process [Git, Code Reviews/ Agile/Scrum, Testing, Bug/Task tracking Jira/Phabricator] Communicate and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams
