Description
As a Senior Project Leader in the 3 Phase UPS design team at Schneider Electric, you will play a crucial role in leading technical aspects and providing engineering deliverables in power electronics and related fields. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the 3 phase UPS product technical backlog and driving product enhancements across mechanical, firmware, electrical, and power electronics disciplines in R&D. - Developing comprehensive work plans, schedules, and overseeing project execution with the team. - Acting as the technical and project lead for R&D engineers to address field issues, implement new features, ensure electrical and electronic resiliency, manage supply chain shortages, drive cost reduction efforts, and lead product improvements. - Serving as a single point of contact and leader representing the R&D in the agile project squad, collaborating with leaders from other functions like commercial, supply chain, etc. - Collaborating with other functions such as offer management, supply chain, quality, and service to ensure seamless project execution. - Providing regular progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders. - Analyzing project briefs, requirements, and deliverables to convert them into technical specs in alignment with customer needs, safety standards, and compliance. - Offering coaching and technical mentorship to team members. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent; masters degree in Power Electronics is preferable. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in project leadership or related roles within the power electronics or electrical engineering industry. Key skills and experience desired: - Strong technical understanding of power electronics systems and product engineering. - Proven leadership and project management skills in a multi-disciplinary environment. - Good understanding of power and control architecture of power converters/power supplies. - End-to-end product development life cycle experience in an R&D environment. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Excellent planning, organization, and execution abilities. - Clear communication and reporting skills. - Working experience in engineering processes such as PMP, Agile, or other waterfall methods. - Strong knowledge in engineering design deliverables including DFM, DFMEA, FTA, EMI/EMC, Safety & regulatory compliance.
