BACKGROUND
The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.
Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.
GENERAL

JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Project Coordinator will be responsible for successful implementation of field level activities under the Mobile Medical Unit and Health and Wellness Centres and will support the Project Manager in coordination with District and Blocks Government Departments, supervise project coordinators and will be responsible for data analysis, preparation of reports and documentation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Health Wellness Centres

Ensure the functioning of the two health and wellness centers.

Lead a small team consisting of a medical officer, nurse, pharmacist, and lab technician.

Organize health promotion and disease prevention programs for adolescent women in the community.

Involve local leaders and community representatives, especially women.

Liaise with local health centers and organize various health programs collectively.
Mobile Medical Unit

Responsible for implementation of the project activities at the field level and coordination with other external stakeholders at the project area.

Support the MMU team in mobilizing the community for taking up the MMU services.

Facilitate in compliance with government norms with respect to MMU operations.

Coordinate baseline survey and project monitoring.

Identify Health workers from the community and support their onboarding and training process

Provide supportive supervision and monitoring to the project coordinators.

Support Project Manager in the management of logistics and supplies of the medicines, reagents and equipment for the MMUs
-
Support Project Manager in preparing MMU movement schedule and ensure effective implementation of all the project activities.

Responsible for tracking of MMUs through GPS tracking and other mechanism.

Conduct regular field visits to monitor the project progress and provide supportive supervision to PCs, teams and village health workers as and when required.

Support the Project Manager in organising training and capacity building activities of the MMU staff.

Support the Project Manager in conducting monthly review meetings and other meetings.

Prepare all reports and documentation related to the project, such as MIS reports, financial reports, narrative reports, field observation and visit reports, collection and compilation of case studies and photographs. Submit reports to the Project Manager.

Coordinate with various departments/institutions like Health Sub Centres (HSCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), PRI members, Women Self Help Groups, Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committees etc.,

Liaison with Health and other line departments in district and blocks, ensuring their support and involvement in the project activities.

Responsible for compiling, analysing and preparing the mandatory reports as per the organizational requirements.

Support Project Manager to coordinate and liaison the district level Health officials and other agencies for linkages and convergence.

Other tasks which may be assigned by the Project Manager from time to time.
Other Indicative Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Science/MSW, other subjects other than “Language subject”. Preference will be given to Master in Public Health/ Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Nutrition.
Functional / Technical Skills and Relevant Experience & Other requirements (Behavioural, Language, Certifications etc.)

3 - 7 years of experience in public health programs with good project coordination and implementation skills.

Good communication and documentation in English and Hindi

Data analysis, reporting and presentation skills.

Leadership and team management skills.

Willingness to travel extensively to remote areas.
