Senior Procurement Specialist

As a Senior Procurement Executive specializing in Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM) in the personal care, skincare, or cosmetics industry, your role is crucial in ensuring the timely procurement of materials while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage end-to-end procurement operations of RM/PM, including planning, sourcing, negotiations, and order execution. - Ensure timely availability of materials for production and new product development (NPD) requirements. - Maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor material consumption trends. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors adhering to quality and compliance standards. - Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and performance. - Conduct periodic vendor audits and performance reviews. - Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing, alternative vendor development, and price negotiations. - Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to ensure competitive procurement. - Coordinate with QA/QC, R&D, and Production teams to ensure material specifications and quality standards are met. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless operations. - Maintain and update procurement reports, MIS, and vendor databases. - Track and report procurement KPIs such as lead time, cost savings, and vendor performance. **Key Skills & Competencies:** - Strong understanding of personal care, skincare, and cosmetics raw and packaging materials. - Excellent negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent). - Analytical mindset with attention to detail. - Vendor development and relationship management skills. - Strong coordination and multitasking abilities. **Preferred Background:** - Experience in the personal care, skincare, cosmetics, or FMCG industry is mandatory. - Exposure to sourcing of active ingredients, surfactants, emulsifiers, and primary/secondary packaging materials. - Prior involvement in NPD sourcing or cost-saving projects is an added advantage.,
