Now Hiring: Senior Process Engineer – Mining & Metallurgy 📍 Kolkata, West Bengal 💼Experience: 15-25 years 🧪 Industry: Mining & Metals / Oil and Gas 🔧 About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical process design and optimization across complex mineral processing operations — including hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, and ore refinement. You’ll support multi-disciplinary project teams and help drive innovation across all stages of the project lifecycle — from concept studies to commissioning. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities Oversee process design and simulations for various mineral processing units — from ore beneficiation to refining. Provide technical leadership for projects involving alumina, iron ore, and non-ferrous metals. Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead feasibility assessments and conceptual/detailed engineering for new systems. Collaborate with operations and project teams to deliver on safety, performance, and sustainability goals. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development programs. Document findings and present recommendations to internal teams and clients. Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of technical solutions. 🎓 What You Bring Degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Process Engineering ~15 years of experience in large-scale mineral processing and metal extraction Proficiency with process simulation and flow modeling tools (e.g., SysCAD, AFT, Fluid Flow) Strong working knowledge of industry safety standards, automation systems, and plant optimization techniques Proven ability to manage technical challenges in dynamic project environments Excellent communication, mentoring, and team coordination skills Willingness to travel and work on-site when required 🌱 Nice to Have Familiarity with battery metals (e.g., lithium, cobalt, rare earths) Awareness of sustainable practices in mining and green processing technologies Membership in engineering associations (e.g., IChemE, SME, MME) 📩 Apply now or share with someone in your network who fits the profile!
