Job requirements We need a techie who can assist us delivering requirements for onsite clients using the capabilities given below. Our project that we are hiring (for now) is an automated letter tool for oPen and schemes that deals with member processes and high-volume transactions for UK pension clients. As a Senior Principal Engineer at Aptia Group, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of performant, highly scalable software solutions. This is a hands-on role that requires the candidate to work collaboratively in a squad following a Scaled Agile development methodology. You must be a self-starter, delivery-focused, and possess a broad set of technology skills. Things you will do: Ensure that solution requirements are gathered accurately, understood, and that all stakeholders have transparency on impacts Hands-on; write code and test alongside your teams Advocate best practices and principles within your organization Work closely with tech team Champion good agile practices that are foundational to product delivery Build strong relationships with product owners, solutions architects, analysts and pod leadership Work with state-of-the-art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems Troubleshoot and resolved development issues Provide technical support to clients on existing problems Recommend and execute code improvements based on current solutions What you will bring: For the Senior Principal Engineer role, we are looking for a candidate of 9+ years of experience in software engineering The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment Proven track record of successfully delivering software with a broad mix of languages, technologies and platforms Experience working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code Proven experience in Security driven design practices and the remediation of SAST/DAST findings Strong Self-starter and active squad contributor Technical Skills Required: Must have skills - Broad experience across multiple programming languages and frameworks with in-depth skills of web development using practiced experience refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, system and application design, application security. Strong experience working with a source control systems such as Azure DevOps/TFS, GitHub or Bitbucket. The ability to apply Patterns and Practices to real world use cases. The ability to create low-level design documents. Experience writing automated unit tests (NUnit/Xunit/JEST) and E2E/Integration test cases. Experience writing code for shared libraries, windows services, web services using C# .NET. C# .NET. .Net Framework, .Net Core. Entity Framework. Micro-Services. Design Principles and Pattern (CQRS, Facades, Singleton, Factory). Message and Event Driven Patterns (N-Service Bus, Queues). Web API. Experience working with MS SQL Server. JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS. Understanding AWS Cloud services. Strong SQL Skills. Flexible work hours, open to support critical production issues and factor in support throughout entire SDLC. Good to have skills - Knowledge of OpenText ExStream. Knowledge of Typescript, Angular, Node .JS. Experience designing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure with providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure Values and Culture Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes Understanding of Tomcat and Apache.
