Senior PowerBI Developer

.This role provides an exciting opportunity to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide Power BI reports and dashboards that drive actionable insights for business stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with business users, data engineers, and analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable and efficient reporting solutions. The position involves integrating data from multiple sources, optimizing queries, and applying best practices in data modeling, visualization, and analytics. You will also support production environments, propose process improvements, and stay current with advancements in Power BI and the broader Power Platform ecosystem. This is a highly collaborative and dynamic role that allows you to make a tangible impact on organizational decision-making.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for enterprise-wide users
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Integrate data from SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Data Lakes to provide actionable insights
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Analyze complex business requirements and recommend solutions
- Support production environments and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable reporting
- Propose and implement enhancements to reports, dashboards, and processes
- Participate in Agile development ceremonies and author technical documentation as needed
Requirements
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with data visualization best practices and analytics principles
- Hands-on experience with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Blob Storage, and Data Lakes
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and standard ITIL processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Flexible attitude toward learning and collaborating in a matrix organization
Nice to have:
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power BI)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Git version control, and Python programming
