Senior PowerBI Developer

.This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced PowerBI developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business users, data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to transform complex business requirements into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL, data modeling, and visualization best practices, with a strong understanding of data integration and reporting pipelines. This role combines technical expertise with problem-solving skills, empowering teams across the organization to leverage data effectively. You will also have the chance to implement process improvements, optimize reporting solutions, and stay current with emerging tools in the Power BI ecosystem.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards for enterprise-wide users
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Analyze complex business and operational systems, recommending optimal reporting solutions
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, Databricks, SharePoint, and Data Lakes
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for accurate and efficient data extraction and reporting
  • Participate in meetings to provide technical insights and align reporting solutions with business needs
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing dashboards, reports, and processes to enhance performance and usability
  • Support production environments by troubleshooting data and reporting issues

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with the full Power BI stack, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and cloud-based data sources
  • Solid understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate in a matrix environment
  • Flexibility in adapting to new tasks, tools, and learning opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Git version control
  • Experience coding in Python
