Senior Power Systems Engineer

Job Description

I am looking for an experienced resource who has experience in power systems domain and also has knowledge of python language Experience working as a design engineer/manager for a DNO , Developer or Renewable company in EHV systems or HV/LV systems will be given high weightage Preparation of Technical design reports for Distribution sector (11 KV up to 132kV). Working knowledge of Transmission and distribution systems including network protection & Re-Enforcement schemes. Experience in using a power flow modelling tool such as PowerFactory, IPSA, DINIS, PSSE etc will be beneficial. Experience with Digslient PowerFactory and Siemens PSS/E. Strong understanding of node-breaker vs. bus-branch topologies and substation layouts. Familiarity with validation parameters (voltage limits, thermal ratings, angle differences). Good documentation and communication skills for report writing and stakeholder engagement. 5 years of Python development experience in power systems or engineering domains. Proficiency with Python 3.7 and libraries for text parsing, file handling, and interface development. Experience with PowerFactory Python API and COM Automation. Understanding of PSS/E .raw file structures and associated components. Strong troubleshooting and error handling capabilities in model-based simulations.
