Senior Platform Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will design, build, and optimize our core application platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience across our cloud and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in software engineering combined with expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, enabling seamless collaboration across product, engineering, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Engineering & Development

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform components and developer-facing services using .NET Core, C#, and React.js.
  Develop APIs, frameworks, and reusable libraries that accelerate application development and improve consistency. Implement event-driven and microservices architectures to support high-throughput, low-latency workloads.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, leveraging services such as Azure functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Queue Service and service busses, and Kubernetes.
  Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.

DevOps & Reliability

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such Azure DevOps, or GitActions
  Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes. Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK/Opensearch) to ensure platform reliability and observability.

Security & Compliance

• Apply secure coding practices and enforce security controls at platform and infrastructure layers.
  Implement IAM, encryption, and secrets management (e.g, Azure Key Vault, Identity Server). Partner with the compliance team to align platforms with industry standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  Proven experience in software development (C#, .NET Core, React, SQL, NoSQL). Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (Azure), containerization, and microservices. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and observability tooling. Experience in managing relational and NoSQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch). Solid understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, and secure coding principles. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in global teams.
