Senior PHP Developer

As a PHP Senior Software Engineer (SSE), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications. Your expertise in PHP, modern frameworks, OOP concepts, and MVC architecture will be crucial for writing clean, testable code. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing, enhancing, and maintaining web applications using PHP and modern frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony. - Writing clean, scalable, and efficient code following best coding standards. - Implementing and maintaining Unit Testing to ensure code quality and reliability. - Working with MVC architecture to design robust, maintainable, and reusable components. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. - Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing. - Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance. - Contributing to architectural decisions and providing technical guidance to junior team members. - Staying updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in PHP development. The qualifications required for this role include: - 4-13 years of hands-on experience in PHP development. - Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony. - Solid understanding of OOP concepts and MVC architecture. - Experience with Unit Testing frameworks like PHPUnit. - Strong understanding of REST APIs, MySQL databases, and version control (Git). - Familiarity with Composer, package management, and the modern PHP ecosystem. - Ability to write clean, secure, and maintainable code. - Good communication and problem-solving skills. It would be good to have experience with microservices or API-driven development, knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, exposure to CI/CD pipelines, and an understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
