This is a recruitment pool, with the following upcoming vacancies. Part time or job share arrangements will be considered:
- Senior Occupational Therapist – Aged Care Rehabilitation Unit (Sub Acute) Permanent 1.0FTE
- Senior Occupational Therapist – Orthopaedics / Multi Stay Surgical Unit (Acute) 13-month fixed term contract relating to parental leave vacancy 1.0FTE
- Senior Occupational Therapist – Acute Medical Services (Acute) 12-month fixed term contract relating to parental leave vacancy up to 1.0FTE
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the
Senior Occupational Therapist
plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates Occupational Therapy services to patients in the relevant clinical inpatient area using advanced Occupational Therapy clinical practice skills. Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care. Supervises Occupational Therapy staff and support staff in the unit/clinical area, coordinates duties and manages performance. Practices as a Senior Occupational Therapist and ensures practice is in accordance with the Occupational Therapy professional and registration requirements, standards, codes and guidelines and SMHS policies and guidelines.Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2026.
