What You’ll Do
- Own and drive backend architecture, design, and implementation for critical product features.
- Translate high-level product goals into iterative, production-ready deliverables and scale them into robust systems.
- Build secure, reliable, and fault-tolerant backend services using Node.js and NestJS, following clean code and best practices.
- Design high-performance RESTful APIs and gRPC services, optimised for low latency and scalability.
- Contribute to system design discussions, perform deep technical analysis, and propose optimal solutions.
- Mentor developers (scope increases with seniority), participate in code reviews, and improve engineering quality standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes and share best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies that enhance the product and developer productivity.
- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience of 4-8 years with Node.js and NestJS in production-grade systems.
- Proven ability to build, test, deploy, and scale backend services for consumer or enterprise products.
- Excellent understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, performance tuning, and low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with infrastructure and DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Hands-on with queues/streams like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
- Solid experience with relational or NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Strong grasp of memory management, concurrency, fault tolerance, and backend security fundamentals.
- Proficiency in OOPs, design patterns, and building maintainable, modular codebases.
- Strong domain modeling skills and experience working in Agile, TDD, and CI/CD environments.
