Job Description

We are looking for a dynamicprofessional who combines expertise in Snowflake data warehousing, SQLdevelopment and Data Science to help us build and maintain a robust, scalabledata infrastructure. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible forarchitecting, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based data pipelines, writingcomplex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation, and leveragingmachine learning algorithms to generate insights from large datasets. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across theorganization. What we expect you to do: SQLDevelopment Optimization: Writeand troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables,views, triggers, indexes, and constraints). Performperformance tuning and query optimization using tools like SQL Profiler andother monitoring/troubleshooting utilities. Writeefficient, complex queries against very large data sets and ensure databaseperformance, security, and availability. DatabaseRedesign Architecture: Analyze,redesign, and implement database schemas to improve scalability, performance,and reliability. Translatebusiness requirements into technical designs for database integration anddevelopment. Optimizedatabase architecture to support evolving application and business needs. DataAnalysis Reporting: Conductdata analysis to uncover actionable insights and support decision-making. Createand maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other toolsas required. DataWarehousing: Developand maintain data pipelines using modern data warehousing tools such asSnowflake. Collaboratewith cross-functional teams to design and build ETL/ELT pipelines for datawarehousing. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, andreliability across data warehouses. DatabaseAdministration: Handledatabase backups, recovery, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance to ensuresmooth operations. Monitorand troubleshoot common database issues, ensuring timely resolutions. Profileserver resource usage and perform optimization as needed. AutomationBI Tools: Createjobs and schedules to automate ETL packages within SSIS. Writeand optimize in-application SQL statements and BI-ETL processes. Automatetasks wherever possible, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. CollaborationDocumentation: DocumentSQL processes, procedures, and database designs. Collaboratewith stakeholders, business analysts, and other teams to gather and translatebusiness requirements into database solutions. Provideon-call support, resolve issues, and ensure timely follow-ups with end-usersand management. SystemTools Management: Usetools like Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and GitHub for databasemanagement and versioning. Workwith frameworks such as AWS, Azure, FTP/sFTP/VPN protocols, and modernrelational databases. Familiaritywith API integration concepts like Web API, WCF, REST, and SOAP. Requirements What Were Looking For: Bachelordegree in Computer Science or relatedfield. 5+ years of experience in MS-SQL development,database design, and data warehousing, preferably in BFSI or similarindustries. Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake,and other relational databases. Strong proficiency in T-SQL with experience inwait statistics, execution plan analysis, extended events, and dynamicmanagement views. Experience in SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS), data warehousing tools, and ETL pipelines. Familiarity with Visual Studio, SQL ServerManagement Studio, and GitHub. Experience in database troubleshooting,performance optimization, and handling common database issues. Knowledge of MS scripts, replications, andprofiling server resources. Strong analytical and quantitative skills withthe ability to solve problems effectively. Highly motivated with excellent troubleshootingskills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, result-drivenenvironment while meeting strict deadlines. Strong communication and documentation skills. Flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes inpriorities or direction. Sense of ownership and accountability for tasksand projects.
