Job Title: Senior Merchandiser - Home Textiles Report : Executive Director Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our team in the home textile industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile knowledge, costing, and negotiation skills. The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the merchandising process from order execution to dispatch, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Textile Knowledge: Develop and maintain expertise in home textiles, including fabric types, weaving, and finishing processes . - Communication: Communicate effectively with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth order execution. - Costing and Negotiation: Negotiate prices with suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards. - Sampling and Product Development: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring timely and accurate development of products. - Production Planning: Plan and coordinate production with internal teams, ensuring timely delivery of products. - Quality Control: Monitor and ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process. - Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on production, sales, and market trends. Requirements: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in the home textile industry. - Skills: Strong textile knowledge, negotiation skills, communication skills, and analytical skills.
