Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a Senior Marine Ticketing Executive to manage & coordinate the end-to-end ticketing process for seafarers, offshore crew, & marine industry professionals. The role requires expertise in marine fares, crew rotations & emergency rebooking while ensuring compliance with international maritime travel policies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ticketing & Reservations: Book, issue, and modify tickets for seafarers and crew members using GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or other relevant platforms). Ensure compliance with marine fare rules and IATA regulations. Manage group bookings and bulk ticketing for crew rotations efficiently. 2. Marine & Seafarer Fare Expertise: Apply and manage specialized marine fares to ensure cost-effective travel solutions. Negotiate with airlines to secure competitive marine travel rates and flexible ticketing options. 3. Crew Travel Logistics & Coordination: Collaborate with crewing managers, shipping companies, and travel agents to streamline crew travel. Plan and optimize travel itineraries, including layovers and transit visa arrangements when necessary. 4. Emergency & Last-Minute Travel Support: Handle urgent crew changes, cancellations, and rebookings with minimal disruption. Provide 24/7 support for emergency travel adjustments and unforeseen itinerary changes. 5. Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all necessary travel documents, passports, visas, and Letters of Invitation (LOIs) are in place. Stay up to date with airline policies, visa requirements, and global travel restrictions. 6. Customer Service & Communication: Act as a key liaison between clients, crew members, and airline representatives. Address ticketing-related concerns and resolve any travel issues promptly. 7. Reporting & Cost Control: Maintain detailed records of bookings, cancellations, refunds, and fare adjustments. Prepare expense reports and recommend cost-saving strategies to optimize travel budgets. WORK ENVIORNMENT: This is an office-based role with the possibility of on-call support as needed. The position may require flexible working hours to accommodate urgent crew travel requirements and last-minute changes. PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE: Certification in IATA ticketing or travel management. Proficiency in GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo. Strong understanding of international travel regulations and visa procedures. Multilingual abilities (English + an additional language relevant to the region is preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in marine ticketing or airline reservations, ideally within the shipping or marine industry. Prior experience with ship management companies or crewing agencies is a plus. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage last-minute travel changes. Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
