Job Overview: Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Quality Department . A strong background in the Automotive Lighting industry and Quality Management Systems is required. The ideal candidate will improve Quality Assurance policies , Develop Product and Process Guidelines , and ensure Operational Efficiency . Key responsibilities include managing Customer complaints , handling Audits , driving Continuous Improvement , and maintaining Compliance with Industry standards . Key Responsibilities : Process and Product Quality Management: Collaborate with relevant departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.) to establish and maintain quality standards for both processes and products. Define acceptable quality metrics aligned with customer requirements, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) like PPM and defect rates. Quality Result Indicators Accountability: Achieve and monitor quality targets such as customer PPM, zero repetitive quality concerns, and eliminate customer line stoppages due to quality issues. Regularly report on quality performance and implement corrective actions as necessary. Compliance with IATF16949 Quality Management System: Ensure adherence to the IATF16949 standard, providing support for audits and maintaining system documentation to guarantee compliance. Customer Complaint Management: Analyze and resolve customer complaints using the 8D methodology, ensuring effective communication with customers and follow-through on corrective actions. PPAP Documentation: Prepare and review necessary documentation for the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Including Layout Reports, SPC, MSA, and Checking Aids, ensuring Customer and Regulatory Compliance. Rejection Data Analysis: Collect and analyze monthly rejection data, using quality tools (e.g., Pareto analysis, Fishbone diagrams) to identify process failures and implement corrective measures. Scorecard Performance Analysis: Perform detailed cause analysis of scorecard results, develop action plans, and implement corrective measures to improve performance and meet quality targets. Regulatory Compliance (Customer Standards): Ensure compliance with customer-specific standards and regulatory requirements such as IMDS, ROHS, ELV, REACH, Thermal Cycle, Identification Marking, and Flammability. Warranty Data and Trend Analysis: Analyze warranty data to identify new potential issues, follow up on 3MIS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address root causes. Use of Quality Tools: Utilize advanced quality management tools and techniques such as SPC, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, 7 QC Tools, MSA, and others to monitor and improve quality performance. Desired Qualifications : Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specializing in Electronics & Telecommunications (E&TC), Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 14 -20 years of experience in the Automotive or related Engineering Industry. Proven experience handling Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as TATA Motors , SAVW , Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) , Bajaj Auto , Piaggio , Nissan , Stellantis , or similar. Experience in Automotive Lighting is preferred. Key Skills : Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, perform root cause analysis, and resolve quality issues. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify quality challenges and develop effective solutions. Quality Problem-Solving: Expertise in identifying and resolving complex quality issues within the manufacturing process. Team Leadership: Proven experience leading and motivating quality teams to meet goals. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and customers. Customer Complaint Management: Experience managing customer complaints, ensuring timely resolutions and customer satisfaction. Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., VDA 6.3 certification, IATF 16949). Root Cause Analysis: Expertise in conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. Continuous Improvement: Focused on driving continuous improvement through process optimization and quality initiatives. Quality Audits: Experience conducting or managing quality audits (including VDA 6.3 Certification and IATF 16949). Training Development: Experience developing and delivering quality training programs for internal teams. Quality Documentation (CP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC): Expertise in maintaining and updating quality-related documentation, including Control Plans (CP), Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Customer Complaint Management: Skilled in managing and resolving customer complaints effectively to ensure high customer satisfaction. Quality Management Systems (e.g., IATF 16949): Proficient in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, including IATF 16949. Automotive Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, including standards, regulations, and best practices for quality assurance. Capabilities & Desired Characteristics : Lead & Collaborate : Lead and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure expedited closure of complex product and process quality issues from initiation to closure. Technical Expertise : Act as a technical expert to lead IATF16949, ISO9001, VDA QMS audits. Implement procedures and best practices per industry QMS standards. Problem-Solving : Facilitate the use of structured problem-solving tools in root-cause investigation and corrective action identification. KPI Management : Create and manage KPIs, ensuring clear communication and expectations with factories for timely improvement plans. Collaboration & Prioritization : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and handle multiple tasks while prioritizing effectively. Product Improvement : Develop and execute product improvement processes for the resolution of various quality issues and coordinate with other departments for the development of new products as per APQP & PPAP standards. Quality Improvement Cell : Build a cross-functional Quality Improvement Cell for constant review of processes and develop solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
