The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and operationally strong Senior QA Manager to lead a team of engineers. In this role, you will not only oversee managing a dedicated QA team but also own and drive end-to-end qualifications of multiple releases. In this role, you would be responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance at Nutanix, from setting up test strategies and processes to managing qualification of all product releases to building a world-class QA team. About the Team Nutanix Calm team delivers a multi-cloud application management framework. Calm provides application automation and lifecycle management natively integrated into the Nutanix Platform. We are a driven passionate team of engineering with a desire to disrupt the current state of multi-cloud application management. We are looking to expand our team to include additional A-players who are looking to bring simplicity and efficiency to a complicated world. Your Role Develop a deep understanding of the product, both from a customer's perspective and its underlying technical principles and architecture Work with geographically diverse cross functional teams to define and implement the overall product's testing strategy and processes Manage the qualification of all our product releases Be the voice of quality at the company and champion an atmosphere of continuous improvement with a metrics driven culture Be a strong advocate for Quality best practices and help the company incorporate them with rigor Manage the QA team which comprises 15+ QA engineers currently and help employees grow through career development, coaching, and mentoring while guiding senior engineers to maximize their potential. You'll provide a clear path for progression through personal development plans, defining goals, perform evaluations, and collaborate with employees on their objectives; retain top talent Implement multiple checks and balances within the team to ensure quality high productive work is being performed while averting the risk of burnout via efficient time management Hire, mentor, manage and retain a high-performing QA team. Foster learning and skill developments within the team. Spin up and drive Tools development initiatives for QA efficiency Model and Foster the culture of Customer first in engineer Manage customer escalations and iteratively fill test gaps What You Will Bring A BE or MS in Computer Science or related stream is required. Minimum of 15-20 years of relevant industry experience, of which 5+ years is in QA Proven experience in a QA leader role preferably in Storage, Network, Virtualization areas. Experience in leading technical QA teams for features in distributed systems. Experience in designing complex Test Plans and Automation Plans. Experience in qualifying distributed systems at scale and measuring performance. Experience in any Management plane such as vCenter would be a plus. Good exposure to Automation development in Python. Ability to debug complex issues and root cause failures. Experience with Core Storage, Virtualisation, File Systems, Block/Object Storage, Disaster Recovery Backup, IAM Security is desired. Good understanding of Linux Systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM. Excellent collaboration and communication skills with development, product management and cross functional teams. Excellent project and sprint management skills
