Job Title: Senior Manager Purchase

Location: Malur, Karnataka

Experience: 15+ years in Purchase & Procurement (Automobile Component Manufacturing Industry)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Purchase to oversee and manage procurement activities at our Malur facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, cost optimization, and supply chain operations within the automobile component manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors for raw materials, components, and services.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Quality, Finance) to align procurement strategies with business goals.
  • Manage inventory levels, track procurement budgets, and ensure cost savings initiatives.
  • Oversee purchase order processing, supplier payments, and contract administration.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement ERP and procurement systems to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Analyse market trends, risk factors, and alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement and purchase within the automobile component manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and procurement tools.
  • Knowledge of cost reduction techniques, contract management, and supplier audits.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive strategic procurement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or certification in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing.
  • Experience in working with global suppliers and managing imports.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
