Senior Manager - Production (Assembly Division)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager for the Production Department in our

Assembly Division. The role involves overseeing the assembly of forged gears (e.g., SAE

8620, 20MnCr5), shafts, ferrous and non-ferrous castings (e.g., Ductile Iron FG 200,

A356/LM 25), housings, covers, machined parts, and bought-out components such as seals,

bearings, springs, washers, and bushings. A deep understanding of gearbox assembly is

essential, particularly in high-speed, low-torque gearboxes for agricultural tillers and mowers

(bevel, spur, helical gears) and low-speed, high-torque gearboxes for electrical switchgear

applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly Line Management: Oversee the assembly of high-speed low-torque

gearboxes for agricultural tillers and mowers (bevel, spur, helical gears), as well as

low-speed high-torque gearboxes for electrical switchgear.

• IoT Integration: Manage the integration of IoT systems in the assembly line for real-

time monitoring.

• Material Management: Handle materials including ferrous grades like Ductile Iron

(FG 200, FG 260), Malleable Iron (ASTM A 536), and non-ferrous grades such as

A356/LM 25 and LM 6, ensuring their proper usage and quality.

• Production Scheduling: Efficiently manage production schedules, ensuring timely

completion of all tasks.

• Quality Control: Work closely with the QC team to ensure defect-free products using

materials like EN9 steel and various alloyed castings, along with purchased

components like seals, bearings, springs, washers, and bushings.

• Testing Procedures: Oversee essential testing such as load, pressure, and leakage

testing.

• SAP Management: Use SAP for production tracking, reporting, and MIS creation.
• Shop Floor Management: Ensure maintenance and efficiency of assembly

operations.

• Delegation and Follow-Up: Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently through

delegation and follow-up.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 7 years in production/assembly management.
• Technical Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of material grades such as SAE 8620 (forged gears),

A356/LM 25 (aluminium castings), and FG 200 (ductile iron).

• Extensive knowledge of gearboxes, especially high-speed low-torque

gearboxes (bevel, spur, helical) for agricultural tillers and mowers, and low-

speed high-torque gearboxes for electrical switchgear.
