Senior Manager - Minituber Production

As the Head Minituber facility at Mahindra HZPC Pvt. Ltd., your role involves overseeing the production of minitubers while ensuring adherence to budget, cost, and quality standards. Your responsibilities include: - Establishing benchmarks and updating working methods for minituber production. - Implementing and driving a quality assurance system in minituber production. - Providing after-sales service to minituber customers. - Developing a sustainable operations team for minituber production. - Managing the tissue culture lab with all quality standards after a year's guidance. - Ensuring the facility remains NCSTCP approved at all times. - Producing export-quality minitubers following export protocols. - Identifying training needs for the team and ensuring implementation of results. - Establishing connections with the national and international scientific community. - Implementing all Mahindra HZPC policies within the facility. - Developing a strategic roadmap for the facility's growth. - Coordinating with other departments within the company. - Managing all legal and financial compliances within the facility. - Developing R&D protocols for increased productivity. - Demonstrating the ability to handle multi-location production facilities. You should have a Ph.D. in Plant Science with 10-15 years of experience in the Seed potato, Tissue culture, Hydroponic, and protected cultivation industries. Your competencies should include vision and strategic orientation, innovativeness, people development, result orientation, customer focus, teamwork, cost sensitivity, and a global mindset. Additionally, you should possess excellent convincing and communication skills, analytical ability, the ability to navigate a VUCA world, energy, drive to excel, and financial knowledge. Your functional competencies should include domain knowledge of minituber production, tissue culture, plant agronomy, cold stores, potato pathology, aeroponic/hydroponic systems, and seed potato.
