Senior Long-Form Video Editor

As a Senior Long-Form Video Editor at our company, you will be responsible for crafting brand films, interviews, case studies, and documentaries that resonate with real emotion and authenticity. Your role will involve editing long-format videos, creating short-form edits with the same storytelling quality, collaborating with cinematographers for visual continuity, managing audio and sound mixing, leading the color grading process, and applying short-form best practices. You will also need to manage and organize footage for smooth post-production workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Edit long-format videos such as brand films, founder stories, and documentaries. - Create short-form edits that maintain the depth and polish of long-form storytelling. - Collaborate with cinematographers to ensure visual continuity. - Manage audio, background scoring, and sound mixing for professional delivery. - Lead the color grading process to establish tone and emotional weight. - Learn and apply short-form best practices like hooks, retention pacing, and storytelling compression. - Manage and organize footage for efficient post-production workflows. Qualifications Required: - 4-6 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in branded or documentary-style work. - Advanced knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (preferred) or Adobe Premiere Pro. - Strong understanding of story arcs, dialogue pacing, and visual emotion. - Experience with color correction, transitions, and storytelling composition. - Exposure to short-form content adaptation is a plus. - Ability to take creative ownership from raw cut to final master. Please note that a test assignment is mandatory for this position. You will be given a short-form adaptation test based on long-form content where you will need to demonstrate your ability to edit a short clip (15-30 seconds) while maintaining long-form quality and cinematic style.
