Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1.PTL Deliveries:

Systemize the PTL indenting process via the transporter portal to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Digitalize POD (Proof of Delivery) tracking through the TMS (Transport Management System) to provide real-time status updates.
Standardize the PTL indenting process and integrate it with the TMS system.

2.Payment Processes:

Implement a payment calendar visible to both internal teams and transporters to streamline payment processes.
Provide transporters with real-time updates on payment statuses through the TMS Carrier portal.
Establish a transporter grievance resolution mechanism to address payment-related concerns promptly.
Track KPIs such as average payment processing time, overdue payments, and transporter satisfaction levels.
Define clear payment terms and timelines in transporter contracts.
Document the payment process, including roles, responsibilities, and escalation procedures for delays.

3.Non-Contract Vehicle Placement:

Define clear terms for sourcing from the open market and penalty mechanisms for non-placement.
Establish collaborative communication between the logistics team and transporters to avoid misunderstandings.
Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) covering indent triggers, timelines, and communication protocols.
Integrate TMS and SAP systems for vehicle indenting and tracking.
Provide training and awareness to the plant logistics team and transporters on the indent process.
Establish KPIs, tracking, and monitoring for non-contract vehicle placements.
