WHO YOU ARE:

As a Software Engineer III, Associate Tech Lead, you play a key role in the design, development/configuration, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of our software platforms. Our Senior Software Engineers work with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfil the needs of our internal teams and clients. These solutions and products help us and our clients to operate more efficiently and provide better service to end customers.

Senior Software Engineers interact directly with project managers and business stakeholders, and may periodically interface with clients. In this role, youll also mentor junior team members in both technical subjects and soft skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for our stakeholders.
• Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, and efficient code for our platforms.
• Assist teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing platforms.
• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting the challenging development and delivery needs of the organization.
• Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders, and customers.
• Act as a mentor and technology expert for team members and conduct technical reviews.
• Architect, design, develop, and validate various requirements for our platforms.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, recognize and react to changing business needs, and effectively prioritize tasks.
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members and business units.
• Show enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• 5–10 years of experience in backend technologies like Java, J2EE, and Spring in a cloud environment.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design.
• Patience and perseverance to overcome challenges, solve problems, and learn new programming languages and techniques.
• Excellent work ethic and ability to work and travel independently.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BTech / BE / MCA / MTech / ME or equivalent qualification from reputed institutes.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns
• Programming using Java 11+/J2EE
• Streaming platforms like Kafka
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Strong knowledge of databases like Postgres, DocumentDB, etc.
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
• SOA/Microservice architecture
• Knowledge and experience with REST APIs
• Familiarity with Git, Maven, Docker
