Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Software Development Engineer - Java at the company, you will be responsible for hands-on Java development, leading agile development teams, and designing scalable architectures for Java-based applications and RESTful APIs. Your role will involve individual contribution as well as technical leadership, including mentoring developers and driving product delivery success in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications and RESTful APIs. - Collaborate with product managers and architects to define technical solutions based on business requirements. - Guide and mentor team members in coding best practices, design patterns, and architectural decisions. - Conduct code reviews, technical discussions, and ensure high code quality and performance standards. - Troubleshoot critical production issues, implement long-term fixes, and drive continuous improvements. - Advocate for enhancing tools, processes, and systems across the engineering team. - Stay updated with modern technologies and recommend their adoption when suitable. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of Java backend development experience with expertise in Spring/Spring Boot and RESTful services. - Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), system design, and design patterns. - Proven experience in leading engineering teams or taking ownership of modules/projects. - Knowledge of AWS Cloud services (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.) is advantageous. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. - Effective communication and leadership abilities.
