Job Title: Senior Java Developer GCP DevOps

Experience: 8+ Years

Location: Chennai / Bangalore /Hyderabad

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java + GCP DevOps Engineerwith over 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintainingenterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Javabackend systems, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and DevOps automation. You willplay a key role in architecting and optimizing cloud-native solutions,implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system scalability, reliability, andsecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java 8/ 11 /17, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) leveraging Kubernetes (GKE), CloudSQL, BigQuery, and other GCP services.
Develop automation tools and scripts using Shell/Bash, Python, or equivalent scripting languages for deployment and operational tasks.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to ensure continuous integration and deployment.
Manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and optimal performance.
Troubleshoot complex system and cloud issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide long-term fixes.
Ensure all development and deployment practices adhere to security, compliance, and governance standards.

Required Skills:

8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java 8/ 11 /17).
Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate, and legacy Java frameworks.
Extensive experience with GCP services particularly Kubernetes (GKE), CloudSQL, and BigQuery.
Proven expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).
Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Strong scripting capabilities using Shell/Bash and Python.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep for infrastructure automation.
Sound understanding of cloud security, monitoring, and logging best practices.
Experience working in Agile environments and managing complex, large-scale enterprise systems.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS.
Exposure to financial messaging systems (SWIFT, ISO 20022) is an added advantage.
Experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.
Prior leadership or mentorship experience in technical project teams.
