Senior Java Backend Developer

Key Accountabilities

• Architect Enterprise-Grade Java Services:

• Build and optimize scalable, high-availability Spring Boot microservices powering commerce APIs and OLTP applications.

• Scale Transaction-Heavy Systems:

  Design for concurrency, consistency, and resiliency in high-throughput, large-data environments.

• Lead Microservices Design

  : Guide architectural evolution leveraging Kafka, Kubernetes, and S3-compatible storage.

• Operate Across Multi-Cloud Environments:

  Deploy workloads across AWS, GCP, and RunPod using Dockerized and CI/CD-enabled workflows.

• Contribute to Agile Execution

  : Participate in Jira-based sprint planning, review PRs, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. Scope of Work Own backend microservices powering real-time retail systems.
• Enable the platform to process 120,000+ transactions per hour. Guide database modeling across MongoDB, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Set standards for performance, observability, and error handling across backend teams. Outcomes & Success Metrics Maintain 99.99999% uptime across backend systems.Ensure 500 response b tency for transaction critical endpoints.
• Achieve zero P1 issues under normal load.Maintain complete and up to date API and service documentation.Increase reusability and interoperability across backend services.

Required Experience

• 7 to 12 years in backend development using Java (Spring Boot) & JavaScript.
• Proven track record in high-volume OLTP system design.
• Expertise with MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience in Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and S3 storage.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong system design and distributed architecture skills.

Preferred / Additional Experience

• Experience in retail tech, fintech, or supply chain systems. Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, ELK, Prometheus).
• Experience with zero-downtime deployments and multi-region scaling.
