Job Description

As an Electronics Hardware Engineer at Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP), you will have the opportunity to lead innovative embedded product development and work with global technical leadership teams for embedded products for Emerson business units across the globe. Your responsibilities in this role will include: - Working with the local EICP Technical Lead Electronics Center of Excellence (ECoE) - Enhancing existing or developing new hardware designs/technology for new product launches - Understanding customer requirements and communicating them to multi-functional teams - Providing technical solutions to customer problems - Reviewing project deliverables to ensure quality levels are met - Providing regular updates on development and support activities - Following defined processes and the Hardware Development Life Cycle Model - Reviewing technical concepts of all electronics projects including equipment specification and design - Leading and/or assisting new product development activities such as architecture design, circuit designs, technology identification, and mentorship/support for debugging To be successful in this role, you should have: - A degree in Electronics Engineering - Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience - Knowledge in microcontroller-based board level design, High Speed Design, Precision Analog Design, and proficiency in global Hardware development cycle - Experience with simulation and analysis tools - Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones Preferred qualifications that set you apart include: - Experience leading and executing new circuit board designs - Experience working with international teams - Familiarity with industrial digital communication protocols (e.g. 4-20mA, HART, Modbus) - Experience with EMC requirements and design techniques - Experience with international safety and hazardous location design, including intrinsic safety & SIL standards design - Experience with VLSI/CPLD design Emerson offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to meet industry standards and local labor markets.
