Senior Gis Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to lead the design and development of GIS solutions within a system integration project involving Maximo, CSS, Winflow, and other enterprise platforms. The role requires expertise in Esri technologies, system integration frameworks, and spatial data management. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless GIS integration with enterprise applications, enabling efficient asset management, customer service, and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and integration of GIS solutions with enterprise systems such as IBM Maximo, CSS, and other Systems.

• Design and implement APIs, web services, and middleware to enable system interoperability.

• Develop, configure, and optimize GIS applications (Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro).

• Integrate GIS functionalities into asset management, customer service, and workflow management platforms.
• Manage and maintain spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server).
• Implement geoprocessing workflows, map services, and spatial analysis for business operations.
• Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Ensure system performance, data accuracy, and compliance with integration standards.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to the GIS development team.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of integrated GIS solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

BCA, MCA, M Tech, B Tech / BE (Computer Science / IT), BSc (Computer Science / IT), MSc (Computer Science / IT) / Graduation / Post Graduation in GIS related field.

experience in GIS development and system integration projects

• Strong hands-on expertise with Esri ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
• Proven experience integrating GIS with IBM Maximo, CSS, Winflow, or similar enterprise applications.
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, and C# .NET,.
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and web services.
• Proficiency with spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial).
• Familiarity with data standards (OGC, ISO 19115).

Strong knowledge of system integration methodologies and enterprise workflows.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with open-source GIS platforms (GeoServer, QGIS, Mapbox).

Exposure to cloud-based GIS deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of ETL tools, FME, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Prior experience in utilities, infrastructure, or asset-intensive industries.

• ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET (C#) Add-ins, custom tools, ribbon UI extensions
• Python (ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python) automation, data manipulation, analysis workflows

• ArcGIS REST API consuming and publishing services
• Spatial databases (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server Spatial)

• JavaScript (ES6+) & TypeScript – core frontend development
• React framework – components, hooks, state management
• ArcGIS API for JavaScript (4.x) – working with layers, queries, widgets, and services
• Experience Builder SDK – developing custom widgets, themes, and data integrations
• UI/UX design using HTML5, CSS3, Calcite Design System
• REST API integration with ArcGIS Enterprise & ArcGIS Online
• Secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, Enterprise login)
