Senior Fullstack PHP Developer

Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Fullstack Developer specialising exclusively in PHP. The ideal candidate will design and implement secure, scalable web applications using modern PHP frameworks and cutting-edge frontend technologies. Key Responsibilities Development & Architecture: Lead the design and development of full-stack solutions with a focus on PHP-based backends and modern JavaScript frameworks for front-end interfaces. Architect, implement, and scale RESTful APIs and microservices. Transform and modernise legacy codebases to align with current PHP 8.3+ standards. Security & Best Practices: Champion secure coding practices and robust authentication mechanisms. Implement comprehensive security measures aligned with industry best practices (including OWASP Top 10). Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation. Collaboration & Leadership: Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and technical mentorship for junior team members. Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Provide technical recommendations and lead architectural decisions. Technical Requirements Backend Development: Extensive experience with PHP and modern frameworks (Laravel, Symfony). Proven track record in developing and scaling RESTful APIs and microservices. Familiarity with modern PHP version features and best practices. Frontend Development: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred, React acceptable). Experience in responsive design and UI/UX best practices. Infrastructure & Deployment: Expertise in containerisation (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines(e.g. Bitbucket Pipelines). Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong knowledge of Git-based version control systems. Security & Authentication: Implementation of secure authentication and authorisation systems. Familiarity with SSO, OAuth2, and data privacy protocols. Core Requirements Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional PHP development experience in commercial environments. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills. Deployment: Proven experience with containerised deployments and cloud environments.
