Job Scope : The Senior Manager Finance & Accounts will be responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities. The role includes supporting senior management and audit committees with insightful financial presentations while closely collaborating with the senior leadership team. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, Leading the team, and oversee function such as accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration. The candidate will ensure robust systems and procedures are in place to facilitate effective program implementation and seamless audits. The role involves close collaboration with senior management and to enhance awareness on finance and accounting procedures across teams while exploring ways the finance function can support operational programs. Additionally, the position will work with HR and IT teams to enhance the integration of Finance, HR, and IT functions. Job Responsibilities: Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal controls and safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and program budgets. Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Analyze financial data and present accurate, timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Assist leadership in the annual budgeting process, financial planning, and variance analysis. Support the CFO/Director Finance in audit and finance committee engagements regarding financial trends and models. Oversee financial, project/program, and grants accounting; ensure alignment with grant and program budgets. Manage organizational cash flow forecasting and collaborate with program heads for financial assessments. Track and manage performance of invested assets in accordance with policies and investment guidelines. Strengthen finance team capabilities, provide role clarity, and implement training programs. Foster internal communication and create a positive, supportive work environment. Preferred candidate profile Qualification : Chartered Accountant (CA) or ICA with 10-15 years of relevant experience. Taxation Expertise : Strong knowledge of taxation is mandatory. Financial & Audit Proficiency : Extensive experience in audit coordination, financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and investment accounting. Grants & Compliance : Expertise in grants management, compliance, and financial reporting for government, corporate, and foundation grants. Technology & ERP Systems : Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and technology-driven financial management. Leadership & Team Development : Experience in recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining high-performing finance teams. Strategic & Analytical Thinking : Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic financial mindset. Communication Skills : Ability to translate complex financial data into insights for non-financial stakeholders. FCRA Administration : Knowledge of FCRA administration is desirable. Industry Experience : Prior experience in managing finances for complex non-profit or for-profit organizations with multiple programs. Integrity & Commitment : Strong ethical standards, credibility, and alignment with the organizations mission. Strategic Vision : A proactive, hands-on leader with a forward-thinking approach to financial planning.
