ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a
Senior Fashion Designer (Apparel)
who will lead the design and development of products across both knit and woven categories. You will be responsible for driving the creative vision, researching silhouettes and trends, selecting fabrics, guiding sampling, refining fits, and ensuring every design aligns with SAADAA s aesthetic and functional philosophy.
This role requires a blend of creativity, technical excellence, and commercial awareness. You will play a central role in building timeless, thoughtful, better basics that reflect the way of living.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Lead the entire design and product development process
across knitwear and woven categories, from concept ideation to final production-ready designs. -
Conduct trend, market, and consumer research
to identify silhouettes, colors, and design opportunities aligned with SAADAA s brand ethos. -
Evaluate and select fabrics, yarns, trims, and finishes
, ensuring quality, functionality, comfort, and sustainability. -
Create detailed CAD sketches, design sheets, and tech packs
, ensuring accuracy for sampling and production. -
Oversee sampling, fittings, and product refinement
, ensuring perfect fits, pattern corrections, and consistent quality standards. -
Visit vendors, mills, and sampling units
to track design development progress and resolve technical challenges. -
Collaborate on product costing and material optimization
, ensuring commercial viability without compromising design intent. -
Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams
to ensure seamless transition from design to final product. -
Mentor junior designers
, enabling strong technical learning, creativity, and problem-solving across the design team.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or related fields.
- 6-9 years of experience in
fashion/apparel design across knits and woven categories
. - Strong understanding of
garment construction, pattern making, fits, drape, and finishing techniques
. - Proficiency in
CAD design, Adobe tools, tech pack creation, and garment specification documentation
. - Hands-on experience with
sampling, fittings, quality checks, and vendor coordination
. - Good commercial understanding of costing, materials, and scalable production.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple collections simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset across cross-functional teams.
